Job Description
Sales:
- Identify and target potential customers, including residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting and lead generation.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve collective sales goals.
Marketing:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote our paint products.
- Create and manage advertising campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Generate marketing collateral such as brochures, product catalogues, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance brand awareness and brand loyalty.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and distributors.
- Provide after-sales support, including addressing customer concerns and resolving issues.
- Regularly visit key clients to understand their needs and gather feedback.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to the product development team to improve product offerings.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market research findings.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the paint or coatings industry.
- Strong understanding of the paint industry, including products, technologies, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales/marketing tools.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
